What Is Daxxify

Daxxify (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is a next-generation injectable neurotoxin developed by Revance Therapeutics. In extensive clinical studies, it was shown to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines — the vertical "11s" between the brows — in adults, with results typically lasting around five to six months.

For many patients, that's one to two months longer than the duration typically provided by Botox. In trials, Daxxify was found to be generally safe and well tolerated, with no serious treatment-related adverse events reported, and it carries FDA approval for this use.

At Amoris, Daxxify is never the default — it's a tool we reach for when it's genuinely right for you. Every recommendation begins with a conversation and a clinical assessment, not a procedure menu.

How It Works

Like Botox, Daxxify is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and neuromuscular blocking agent. It interrupts the nerve signals that tell certain muscles to contract.

Areas We Treat

Daxxify is FDA-approved specifically for frown lines between the brows. As with other neurotoxins, your provider may discuss additional cosmetic areas with you during your consultation.

Glabellar lines — the frown lines, or "11s," between the eyebrows (FDA-approved indication)

A note on broader uses

Botulinum toxin as a class is also used in medicine to treat conditions such as neck spasms, excessive sweating, overactive bladder, and lazy eye. However, Daxxify itself is FDA-approved only for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe frown lines — it is not approved for these other conditions. Any cosmetic use beyond frown lines is considered off-label and will be discussed with you directly.

Daxxify vs. Jeuveau vs. Botox

We offer both Daxxify and Jeuveau in office. All three are trusted neurotoxins that smooth frown lines in the same way — the main differences are how long results tend to last and how they fit your goals. Jeuveau is a Botox-like neurotoxin dedicated to aesthetics, often a great everyday choice, while Daxxify is our longer-lasting option.

Some patients prefer Jeuveau as a dependable everyday choice, while others choose Daxxify for longer-lasting results and fewer visits. Frequently Asked Questions
How long do results last?
For most patients, Daxxify results last around five to six months — often a month or two longer than traditional Botox. Individual results vary based on your anatomy, the area treated, and how your body metabolizes the product.
When will I see results?
Most people begin to notice softening within a few days, with full results developing over about two to four weeks. We'll often schedule a quick check-in to make sure you're happy with the outcome.
Is there any downtime?
Daxxify is a quick in-office treatment with little to no downtime — most patients return to their day right away. You may have minor redness or small bumps at the injection sites that typically settle within a few hours. We'll review simple aftercare with you, such as staying upright and avoiding strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe the injections as quick, small pinches. The treatment takes only a few minutes, and we take care to keep you comfortable throughout.
Will I look frozen or overdone?
That's never our goal. Our philosophy is subtle refinement — results that look like you, just more rested and relaxed. We dose thoughtfully and conservatively, and adjust over time as we get to know how you respond.
Who isn't a candidate?
Daxxify generally isn't recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neuromuscular conditions, an infection at the injection site, or a known allergy to its ingredients. Warning: Distant Spread of Toxin Effect

The effects of DAXXIFY™ and all botulinum toxin products may spread from the area of injection to produce symptoms consistent with botulinum toxin effects. These symptoms have been reported hours to weeks after injection.

Swallowing and breathing difficulties can be life-threatening, and there have been reports of death. DAXXIFY™ is not approved for the treatment of spasticity or any conditions other than glabellar (frown) lines.

Indication: DAXXIFY™ (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) injection is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and neuromuscular blocking agent indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with corrugator and/or procerus muscle activity in adult patients.

Tell your provider about all your medical conditions and medications before treatment. If you experience difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing after treatment, seek medical care right away.
